Basic Information
In November 1976, Vera Miller, a qualified nursing professional, started business under the name Armac Limited on a part time basis. The company distributed Medical Equipment and Supplies. Full time operations began in 1979 with a staff of two persons. Re-organization and expansion of the company in 1981 resulted in a name change to Miller Surgical Supplies & Equipment Limited. Mr. Barton 'Dusty' Miller joined his wife in 1985 and together they carved a place for the company on the Jamaican landscape. The company became a household name providing a complete range of Medical Supplies. In November 1986, when Jamaica Oxygen and Acetylene decided to divest its Medical and Welding Equipment Division, Miller Surgical aquired these two operations and expanded to offer a full and extended maintenance service to Hospitals and Clinics islandwide. October 10, 2002 saw a changing of the guard, the closing of one era and the opening of another. Retaining the name but now operating under the management of Mr. Bruce Sherlock, the company continued to offer the current range of products. With the team of hard working, dedicated staff the smooth transition was made and the product line expanded to include Rehabilitation Supplies. Now located at Miller Surgical is poised to recapture its place as the foremost supplier of Medical Equipment and Disposables, Oxygen Equipment and Supplies.
